BMC Server Automation RSCD Agent, developed by BMC Software, Inc., is the lightweight endpoint component of BMC Server Automation (formerly BladeLogic Server Automation). Installed on managed servers, the RSCD Agent provides a secure, authenticated channel for executing automation tasks locally while being centrally controlled.

With the RSCD Agent, administrators can consistently manage server configurations, deploy software and patches, run scripts and commands, update files and registries, control services, and enforce compliance policies. The agent collects inventory and configuration data, supports snapshot and baseline comparisons to detect drift, and returns detailed results and audit information to the automation platform.
